Grooming Services

Grooming services are available for our regular patients. Many cats do not enjoy being groomed either at home or at our facility. In order to make grooming a more pleasant and less stressful experience for our patients, we often use a mild oral sedative, with owner approval, to provide comfort. A current annual physical exam by one of our doctors is required for grooming.

Our gentle, experienced feline groomers provide the following services:

Bath Selection

• Regular baths with emollient shampoo
• Flea bath
• Medicated bath with a shampoo designed for a specific skin condition

Shave Selection

• Lion Shave (Lion Cut) – Shave entire body except for the head, paws and end of tail (Lion Shaves are our specialty for long-haired cats that are difficult to groom)
• Partial Shaves – Shave fur from around rear end (Hygiene/Sanitary Clip); Shave fur from the armpits to the belly (Abdomen Clip)
• Custom Shaves

Other Services

• Vinyl Nail Caps – These can be applied with adhesive to your cat’s claws. This amazing product, called Soft Paws, effectively covers the claws so no damage occurs when your cat scratches. Vinyl nail cap application lasts for approximately 3 to 6 weeks, depending on your cat’s activity level and nail chewing habits.

• Anal Gland Expression
• Matted Hair Comb Out or Shaving
